IIC
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), launched through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). The programme aims to systematically foster a culture of innovation and strengthen the startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem within educational institutions.
The primary role of IIC is to actively engage faculty members, students, and staff in innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities such as ideation, problem solving, design thinking, Proof of Concept (PoC) development, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness, and project handling and management at the pre-incubation and incubation stages. Through these initiatives, IIC helps establish and sustain a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in HEIs.
